Organic machinery, viral landscapes, mutated transportation devices and cyclical systems, this is the world we inhabit. My drawings deal with fantastical environments that involve the potential for movement, new structures, playful relationships and elements of the everyday.
Simplistically put, the core of my work combines ideas of reality and fantasy. These disparate words describe the spectrum in which I operate. My drawings are created as a means to try to understand how these two disparate thoughts can be combined and how they relate to one another. When I use the word fantasy it is my method to define idealism and the practice that affirms the preeminent value of imagination. Finding a way to illustrate idealism, to bring it closer to reality, is what I strive to do. I work in a poetic, playful and narrative fashion to bridge the gap between the two, a modus operandi of possibility.
Grace Editions is honored to be able to be a representative of this unique and original artist.
